Visit to Mixman HQ
April 13th

I took an extra day at the end of a Usenix conference in Santa Clara to sightsee a bit in the Bay area and made a point while I was at it to stop by MM Technologies' offices to meet the folks who make this great software.

850 Montgomery Street, center of the MM universe. Word on the street is they're planning a hostile takeover of Western Annuity Services, Inc.
A prototype of Mixman Studio with on-the-fly effects editing. This version has presets - Pro will allow you to define your own! Oh, and you need a Pentium III for either version. Time to upgrade!
Mixman founder Josh Gabriel, aka Sir Mix-a-Mac Another prototype project in response to user requests.
The artwork for the new Soundisc covers looks great. And ya gotta hear the samples to believe them...
Josh's sticker collection If you've got something cool, send it to him!
The mother of all prototypes Believe it or not, this tangle of wires is prehistoric Mixman, and was actually used live in clubs. Rumor has it that Dutch customs officials once detained Josh for nearly three days trying to figure out what it was...
The Fluid One A rare opportunity - Jason was actually sitting still long enough for a photograph!
Three skinny Js. Jason, John and Josh - your Mixman connection!

Thanks to everyone at 850 for their hospitality - hope to see you all again soon!
