I like to knit. A lot. The way I see it, a ball of yarn has great potential- it is potential, pure and unfettered with. You could make anything with that ball of yarn.

Something really great about knitting is the sense of community amongst knitters. In any city, a yarn store provides automatic common ground and comfort.


Knitting can also be a compassionate hobby- there exist an astounding number of charitable organizations which accept hand-knit donations- this little guy is on his way to the Mother Bear Project. The Daily Knitter has a great page (here) listing organizations which accept knit donations.

Who could resist a face like this? Not me! The bovine has an indescribable appeal.


The question which arises from this page is clear... and the answer is, happily, yes!

You can indeed knit cows. And I will! Someday. With the abundant spare time we have in this profession...
